The Samsung Captivate is a high end smart phone revealed back in 2009.It was the thinnest Smartphone in its year. And also the most liked variant of the the Galaxy S.
If you just got your device or you are making plans to get one, You must take a decision to root/not.
ü I have got a method that will root your galaxy S Captivate Smartphone (I897)
v Before you Begin
1. Rooting will void your warranty.
2. Make sure your device is fully charged, Or at least 60% charged.Just to make sure that it does not get stuck in the middle of the process.
Required Files
3. Download super one click.
Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Captivate (I896)
4. Download Super One Click archive to your Desktop.
5. Extract files from the archive to your Desktop. You can use any tool to do so,
You can use Winrar or any other tool you prefer.
6. On your device, open your app drawer »»setting »» In settings tab applications »»
Tab Development »» and check U.S.B debugging.
7. Connect your device to your PC via U.S.B cable.
8. Launch the Super One Click you downloaded on your PC by double-clicking on the executable file you extracted on your Desktop.
9. Click the Root button given inside the tool and let it do its thing.
10. When rooting is complete reboot your captivate.
v Now Download any app that requires root to confirm if you are rooted eg. Root manager etc. You will now be able to modify your phone to your satisfaction.
